Safety line. Safety lines are the borders that are located in the area where the cutting will be done. Save any necessary information such as names, addresses, phone numbers or logos on the security line to ensure they are not cut off.
Trim area. Due to the mechanical tolerances involved in printing, the actual cut can occur anywhere between the bleed line and the safety line. That’s why it’s important to keep text and important images within the safety line and out of the cropping area.
